Easing Dental Anxiety in Patients

Most of us look forward to visiting the dentist as much as we enjoy visiting the doctor’s office. It’s not necessarily exciting, but it’s something that needs to be done. Past bad dental experience to you or your loved ones can cause anxiety and if you let that dectate you and do not visit dentist,  it can put your oral health status on a downward spiral. Dental anxiety can leave people panic-stricken and terrified, but Dr. Dipika Shah, DDS, can ease your fears and make you feel as comfortable as possible during your dental procedure.

There is nothing wrong with being afraid of oral pain, dental instruments, or injections before a dental procedure.  People with dental fear are at a greater risk for developing periodontal disease as well as early tooth loss. Before your appointment, be sure to discuss your fears with our staff and ask about our  options.

If you have questions or concerns regarding dental anxiety, please give us a call. To learn more about the services we provide at the practice, visit www.dentistnj.com for more information. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Dipika Shah, DDS, here in our Holmdel, NJ office, call 732-264-8180.
